Bricking It

(ayethangyew)

Well, yesterday was the inaugaral "brick session". A brick session being a cycling session immediately followed by a run. Approximately 7 miles in 30 minutes on the bike, a hasty "transition", and a run across Victoria Park. Run in theory, anyway. In practise, this means trying one's best not to fall over whilst simultaneously trying to move in a forwards direction without being able to feel one's legs. It's the only type of exercise encountered that's officially amusing, anyway. And the exciting thing is, that it's not tremendously painful the day afterwards.

The Corporal was also pleased to keep up the running with a 15-minute jog up (and down) Shetcliffe Lane. He must also officially duck out of the swimming session on Thursday (he will make amends), due to the fact he will have been in bed for around 2-3 hours by the appointed meeting time, and wish Fromage and Nom luck for their first pool session.

Bring on the trumpets!
